Navigoat respects your privacy and shall handle these data with due care. In this privacy statement we will explain which data are involved and what we will do with them.
The following information may change, for example when we develop new services. We will announce the changes on the Website.
Saving and processing data
We solely save and use those personal details which were sent directly by you or which we can derive from your use of the Website. Data that are not necessary anymore shall be deleted. You can also submit a request yourself to inspect, modify or delete data.
You first have to register with certain parts of the Website. After registration we save your personal details as stated by you that are linked to your user name. These personal details include your name, address, place of residence, e-mail address and other matters that you state as a registered user or send when using the Website.
Publication in search engines
When you deliver content on the website, for example by completing your profile data or making a voice publicly available, this content can be read by everyone. Non-registered users and search engines such as Google also have access to your content. They can republish this information elsewhere, whether or not in an adapted form or in combination with other details that they found about you.
We do not supervise what these third parties do with this content. So consider this when you send your content.
We shall in any case not publish personal data such as e-mail addresses and telephone numbers (if known by us) on the website or provide them to third parties, except in those cases as mentioned elsewhere in this privacy statement.
Data regarding clicking and visiting behaviour
General visiting data, both of registered and non-registered users, are monitored on the website. In particular the IP-address of your computer, a possible user name, the time of requesting a page and data that are sent by your browser are saved. We use them for statistical analyses of the visiting and clicking behaviour on the website. These data shall not be provided as such to third parties, except in cases of improper use (see below). However, we aggregate these data into profiles of use that we can make available to third parties (such as advertisers).
If fraud or an improper use of our website is suspected, we can submit personal details to the competent authorities. If a third party submits a claim to us about content placed by you, for example because of libel or a violation of his copyrights, we are entitled to pass on all relevant data about you to this third party. We will, however, only do this after consulting you and our legal advisors.
Use of cookies
We make use of cookies with the website. A cookie is a simple small file that is sent with pages of this website and is saved by your browser on the hard disk of your computer. Through these cookies we can, for example, combine several requests for pages of the Website and analyse the behaviour of users. You can refuse the use of these cookies, although this may reduce the functionality and ease of use of the website.
After logging in with your user name and password, our website will send you a cookie so that we can recognise you during the rest of a session. Through this cookie we can check which pages you request. We use this information in anonymised form in the above-mentioned aggregated user profiles.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to monitor how the Website is used by users. The information obtained in this way, including the address of your computer (IP address), is transferred to and saved by Google on servers in the United States and elsewhere in the world. Google uses this information to monitor how our website is used, to submit reports to us about the Website and offer its advertisers information about the effectiveness of their campaigns. Google can offer this information to third parties when Google is obliged to do this by law, or insofar as these third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We do not have any influence in this.
E-mail and newsletter
When you complete a contact or application form on the website or send us an e-mail, we will save their contents as long as is required to fully answer or handle these documents, according to the nature of the form or content of your e-mail.
We offer a newsletter through which we want to inform interested persons about our products, services and related matters. Your e-mail address will only be added to the list of subscribers with your explicit permission. Every newsletter contains a link with which you can sign off. The list of subscribers of the newsletter will not be provided to third parties. However, partners who want to make relevant offers or send information to our users can be given the opportunity to do this through our newsletter. We will, however, remain the sender of the newsletter in that case.
Protection of personal details
We use strict safety procedures, for example to prevent unauthorised persons gaining access to personal details. We in particular make use of protected connections (Secure Sockets Layer or SSL), with which all information between you and our website is protected when you register.
Websites of third parties
This statement does not apply to websites of third parties who are connected to this Website through hyperlinks. We cannot guarantee that these third parties will handle your personal details in a reliable or safe way. We advise you to read the privacy statement of these websites before using these websites.
